Sleeping bags belong to a product category that comes to mind when we think about staying overnight outdoors. Sometimes, however, one might want as little gear as possible, yet to be used for various situations. In this case, to be warm in the night, but also have use of the sleeping bag during the day, e.g. to set it up on the floor for eating or napping.
Deep Royal made by Rumpl is a down blanket designed for most demanding trips. The blanket is made from a ripstop 10D Nylon fabric, making it stain and water-resistant. It is also machine washable. More importantly, it has 800 fill power hydrophobic goose down, meaning it will keep you warm while being lightweight – only 450g (1ibs). The blanket does not have a zipper and comes in one sizes 132x190cm (52x75in). An additional feature is a cape clip, so you can wear it like a cape to keep you warm while you have hands free to do other activities. The blanket also has corner loops which will facilitate fixing it to the ground. The sack for the blanket comes with compression straps. Once packed, it should measure 12x20cm (5x8inch).
